Earlier this year southern Queensland and northern New South Wales experienced the nation’s worst flooding since Brisbane 2011. Many people were forced to flee their homes twice within weeks as the intense low-pressure continued to bring heavy rains.
The MGA Whittles Community Foundation commenced a fundraising campaign in March aimed at raising money to help those affected by this devastating event. The MGA Whittles Group of Companies agreed to match monies raised which saw a total of $50,000 being donated.
This money was donated to the Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd (RAWCS) via the Rotary Club of St Peters. Money was distributed to the South Australian branch along with the National Branch.
Rotary have no administration charges so 100% donated goes straight to those affected.
